Produced a graphic novel as a response to the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian conflict, aiming to convey an anti-war sentiment. Influenced by the firsthand accounts of my grandparents' involvement in the third-line nuclear defence project in China, I integrated real stories they told to emphasize the destruction of wars and international conflicts. The novel serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made in pursuit of peace.
About 10 million tons of pollutants are released into the ocean every year which seriously damages the Marine ecosystem. The narrative unfolds with a lantern fish couple as main characters telling their story, aims to raise awareness about environmental protection. Conducted thorough research, authored script, created storyboard, and hand drawn the animation.
A series of fashion prints inspired by Fashion and Its Social Agendas by Diana Crane. A project aims to express my loath and opposition to the sexualization of children by visualizing an impactful image accompanying text. Carefully selected related articles, and created thumbnails, drafts, and final drawings.
"I am in dilemma" is an art exhibition. Researched with "debt anxiety" as a keyword, and discovered that excessive anxiety can trigger stomach spasms. This inspired me—dual suffering of body and mind originates from a snowballing debt. Designed and created art pieces incorporating elements of the stomach, tumour, and nerves. Presented them in an exhibition format, immersing the audience in the narrative. This allows them to experience the physical and mental sensations of carrying a heavy debt burden from a first-person perspective.
An experimental collage art series featuring Saturn, Venus, Mars, and Earth. It combines torn layers of reality, revealing glimpses of the mysterious starry sky. Created in my spare time using Procreate, this series also marks my first exploration of the spatial. illustration.
This module includes daily works such as pen drawings, watercolours, comics, woodcut prints, and handmade crafts.
Say What? is a warm animation that revolves around the daily squabbles of a couple of angler fish from the deep sea. It conveys my concerns about ocean pollution and overfishing.
I hope that through this animation, The audience while enjoying the laughter, also reflects deeply on the current state of ocean pollution and desires to learn more about the wonders of marine life.
